On November 10, 2004, my work on the Avenues Lesson Planner project was recognized with a MITX award. Over 1,000 people attended the Oscars-style awards ceremony at the Boston Copley Marriott Hotel.
The MITX Awards celebrate the best technological accomplishments from around New England. Since 1995 they have been given yearly for the most innovative interactive work, and are well known as the most prestigious award for technology work in the country.
I was contracted to provide web interface and server logic development for this project in conjunction with Six Red Marbles. Our project was selected in the Education category, where the list of finalists included names like eBay and WGBH.
